LGBTQIA+

I am proud of my personal and professional connection with gender and sexually diverse communities.  believe in the celebration of the trans experience, as gender diversity has existed in nearly every continent of the world.

My extensive work with LGBTQIA+ young people and families includes:

  • emotional support

  • identity formation

  • transition support

  • safety planning

  • family/parenting support

  • volunteer positions on the board of an LGBTQIA+ youth organisation.

When it comes to LGBTQIA+ clients, I approach every new client as a unique member of this community. I know that gender and sexually diverse informed practice is much more than merely using correct pronouns or a blanket approach. Because the LGBTQIA+ community is intricate and diverse,  I constantly seek to learn from, and upskill within the community.

My focus is to create a safe space where people feel seen without needing to educate their therapist about the differences and challenges of LGBQTI+ life or gender dysphoria. I am here to work with all families and identities, and have a continuing commitment to growth and knowledge to best support our diverse and vibrant queer communities.
